Habits of Mind
Our research, training, and implementation of Habits of Mind is intended to meet the goals of integrating 21st century thinking skills in the teaching and learning for students at Hildreth Elementary School, in support of Harvard Public Schools Strategic Plan.

In what ways could we integrate the HOB "Listening with Empathy and Understanding" and the concepts from Project Adventure across the HES school environment. As you consider alternatives, what seems most promising? (As you can see, I'm working on my invitational questions!)
In many ways teachers at HES are already teaching this Habit of Mind by providng classroom environments that encourage empathy and understanding. I found an article in Education World that discusses strategies for teaching empathy skills, but I think the best way for kids to learn is through teacher modeling.
